The Great Pyramid at Giza was constructed in 2600 BC during the reign of Khufu with about 2.3 million stone blocks over about a 20 year period. That would mean 319 blocks were installed every single day. This was before the wheel was invented and only copper chisels were used. Is that reasonable?
While the outer limestone blocks were quarried and transported from about 25 miles away, how they managed to transport and install the massive interior blocks (some weighing in at 80 tons) from a quarry 500 miles away down the Nile is also an unsolved mystery.
Most importantly, why the Great Pyramid was constructed has never been solved since it's clearly not a tomb.
In my view, the interior had to be completed first before the external blocks were placed. In addition, high tech research suggests other chambers in the pyramid may be present.
Clearly, further documentary work needs to be done.

The
Diary Of Merer Tells Us NOTHING About the Great Pyramid's
Construction
If
true, this limestone project was for the outer layer, which is not
present now. Nothing about how the interior was done earlier.

building of the Great Pyramid at all and
the stone that Inspector Merer delivered for the Giza Plateau could

logbook records deliveries to Akhet-Khufu, the ancient name of
the Great Pyramid complex. Although the surviving text does not
explicitly state how the limestone was used, scholars believe it was
probably intended for the pyramid’s outer casing.”
